ITZY's "CHECKMATE" World Tour Gets Advertised on TikTok With Mistake
Earlier this month, ITZY announced their plans to embark on their first-ever world tour, "CHECKMATE." It will kick off with a two-day show in Seoul, followed by a series of concerts in eight different cities in North America.
As expected, the tour is being advertised online, with photos and clips being posted. On June 23, an ad was posted on TikTok and some fans recently came across it on their TikTok "For You" page. This type of clip doesn't appear on ITZY's official TikTok profile but gets viewed as an ad.

The Tiktok ad contains the video from ITZY's "CHECKMATE" concept film #1, which was previously uploaded to YouTube to promote the group's upcoming album, together with the date when tickets for the world tour go on sale.
While there's nothing wrong with the details about ITZY's "CHECKMATE" world tour, fans quickly noticed a TikTok sound, which seems to have been included unintentionally. The addition of the track KRYPTO9095's "Woah (feat. D3Mstreet)," which can be heard in the first 14 seconds of the 30-second video ad, led to a hilarious overall video.

MIDZYs (ITZY's fans) expressed their shock and confusion about the layered audio in the comments section. Some fans first assumed a fan account uploaded it before realizing it was actually official. In contrast, others thought their phone glitched, which was why they could hear the overlapping audios.

Some MIDZYs even commented that "Woah" fit the video's vibe. Despite the mistake, fans don't seem to be upset about it. Instead, they cracked up at the hilarious TikTok ad.
Meanwhile, ITZY's "CHECKMATE" world tour will begin with two nights of concerts in Seoul on Aug. 6 and 7. The group will then head to the United States to perform in Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, and New York throughout October and November.
More tour dates will be revealed at a later time, so fans outside the United States need not be discouraged.
