Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have broken up, but "Come and Get It" singer Selena Gomez and her "Spring Breakers" co-star, Gucci Mane have been rumored to be dating, even before the news broke of the break up.

Justin Bieber's new girlfriend was claimed by many to be a lucky girl named Haleigh who sat next to Bieber at a Miami Heat girl, although Haleigh had denied such claims.

Now that Selena Gomez is single again, Gucci Mane has become the next target for "Selena Gomez new boyfriend" rumors. The two stars worked together for the film "Spring Breakers," and there have been talks about Gomez and Mane having romantic chemistry on the movie set.

Gucci Mane, 33-year-old rapper, responded to these rumors while speaking with Fader magazine recently.

"I don't know why they made such a crazy cruel rumor. Cause I think she was dating Justin Bieber at the time," Mane said. 

Gucci Mane denied any romantic relations with Selena Gomez and said, "Really I don't have no idea what was going on with Selena Gomez cause I only know her briefly from doing the 'Spring Breakers' movie, and from what I know of her she's a nice young lady."

While denying dating rumors with Selena Gomez, Gucci Mane didn't forget to compliment the 20-year-old "Come and Get It" singer, saying "I don't know her personally, I never dated her. I wish her the best, she's a talented actor and a nice girl, but she and I never dated."

Now that Gucci Mane has denied that he is dating Selena Gomez, will Selena Gomez remain single for some time?
