2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown gunman on Sunday afternoon, but 14 of his bodyguards ran away from the rapper after shots were fired, TMZ reports.  

While 2 Chainz was not shot or injured, his security guards weren't around to defend him from the armed robber.

Cops responded to a shots-fired call just after 4:30 p.m., and when police got to the scene, 2 Chainz told them his wallet was stolen and that's all that happened, TMZ also reports.

Surveillance videos reviewed by the San Francisco Police Department show the unknown gunman pointing his gun at 2 Chainz and his 14 bodyguards fleeing the scene.

A San Francisco Police Department sergeant told TMZ that 2 Chainz wasn't cooperative and that he kept saying that he wanted to handle the situation himself - would the rapper have taken justice into his own hands if cops did not arrived?

2 Chainz also told police that his security guards ran away from the incident like "cockroaches running from a flashlight," according to TMZ.

Police are currently conducting investigations over the robbery, reviewing the surveillance tapes and narrowing down likely suspects.

2 Chainz has not made a public comment about his security guards' reaction to the robbery but did retweet a fan that mentioned the robbery in a post about his Summer Jam performance.

The incident occurred at a medical marijuana dispensary, according to ComplexMusic.

Recent twitter posts also reveal that 2 Chainz was robbed for his credit cards, cash and cell phone along with his wallet.
