NCT Taeyong Draws Concern Following Bubble Messages- Here's What He Said
On July 8, NCT Taeyong took to the private messaging app Bubble to open up about the pressure and pain he felt as the group's leader since their debut.
NCT currently has four subunits such as NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. The group has become so successful that SM Entertainment plans to debut two more units: NCT Hollywood and NCT Tokyo.
As NCT's leader who currently looks after 22 members, Taeyong felt a lot of pressure after his teacher told him that it would be his fault "if NCT fails."

"When we debuted, our manager said that there's no point in a team that's not in first place," he revealed. "My teacher also said, 'If NCT fails today, it's your fault.'"
The "Kick It" singer added, "At this very moment, this very year, I plan to give my everything as the leader. We are seven years into our career, and to be honest, I felt a lot of burden on my shoulders. But I plan to give the largest baggage to my burden [this year]."
But even if he shoulders the responsibility for the group's success, he has always highlighted his co-members strengths and talents. NCT Taeyong told fans on Bubble, "This team isn't just about me, but everyone in the team. I always want to prove that all of this is possible because of my members. So I will try to bring out the best I could give and energy from all my members."

Taeyong then revealed that he cried at NCT 127's recent "NEO: CITY: JAPAN - THE LINK" concert because he felt relieved after knowing that NCT is successful and he doesn't have to keep carrying a heavy burden, and knowing that he can put his trust in his co-members.
"Seeing all the members who grew up well, I think I should trust the members and move forward," the "Sticker" singer stated. "I honestly think this year will be really hard without your support. Is this the dilemma of seven years?"
NCT Taeyong then assured NCTzen on Bubble that they will repay the fans with bigger things as they continue to support them. "For the past seven years, I've been thinking about the team, members, and the agency," he shared. "There were many difficult moments. But if you show us all your kindness, we'll repay you with bigger things."

However, Taeyong revealed his concern about the fact that fans only support specific members because NCT follows a system that divides them into subunits. He voiced his hope that fans would support all of the members since everyone is extremely talented and hard-working.
"Because of the system that NCT follows, it makes you support more individual members, and it can't be helped that your attention is focused on more noticeable members," he said. "But at least for this time, I wish there would be many of you who would love and support all of us."
NCT Taeyong then explained that he's mentioning the support for individual members because when he talks with his members or hears them talk with other members about what they feel, it hurts him the most.
NCT Taeyong Reveals He Thought of Giving Up as Group's Leader
Toward the end of his speech on Bubble, Taeyong apologized as NCT's leader. "There were so many moments that I wanted to give up. I'm so grateful to those who believed in me."
The "Favorite" singer then reassured fans that he would continue to be a great leader for the team. He said, "Now that I'm born as a man, I'll make sure that we get to see only the best moments of our lives, and I'm not going to give up what I've started."
NCT Taeyong's Bubble messages were quickly posted on an online community, drawing netizens' attention. Under the post, netizens are expressing their worry over the idol.
