SEVENTEEN 'SECTOR 17' Breaks 1st-Day & 1st-Week Sales Records of Any Repackaged Album
On July 18, SEVENTEEN officially dropped their fourth repackaged album, "SECTOR 17," which comes after their fourth studio album, "Face the Sun" (which came out on May 27).
"SECTOR 17" features the new title track "_WORLD" and 12 other songs including the pre-release single "CHEERS" by SVT LEADERS.

As of 7:20 p.m. KST on the same day, SEVENTEEN's "SECTOR 17" already surpassed 500,000 album sales on the Hanteo Chart. The figure went on to reach more than 860,000 copies as of 7:50 p.m. KST.
"SECTOR 17" then wrapped up its first-day sales on Hanteo with a whopping total of 935,138 copies. Although it falls short of the outstanding first-day sales attained by "Face the Sun"- which sold 1.7 million copies on May 27- this figure is notably high for a repackaged album.
In fact, the repackaged album is now SEVENTEEN's second best-selling album on the first day on Hanteo, following "Face the Sun." This title was previously held by "Your Choice," which sold 881,788 copies on June 18, 2021.

What's more, "SECTOR 17" has now taken the title of the repackaged album with the highest first-day sales on Hanteo from "Hello Future." The NCT Dream album only sold 527,758 copies on June 28, 2021.
Furthermore, SEVENTEEN's "SECTOR 17" has now broken the four-year record for the highest first-week sales of any repackaged album in Hanteo history set by BTS' "Love Yourself: Answer"- which sold 857,727 copies from Aug. 24 to 30 back in 2018.
Finally, "SECTOR 17" has landed at No. 8 in the top 100 highest first-day sales of any K-pop album, surpassing TXT's "minisode 2: Thursday's Child," which recorded 918,413 copies on May 9, 2022.
Congratulations to SEVENTEEN on their historic milestone on Hanteo!
