‘Man Of Steel’ Review: Superman Movie Starring Henry Cavill Is ‘Best Movie Of The Year’ Says Viewer, Jimmy Fallon Says ‘Visually Insane’

"Man of Steel" reviews have been emerging in the final days before the Superman movie's release. Last week, "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon said "Man of Steel," starring Henry Cavill, was "visually insane."

As the "Man of Steel" opening date, June 14, approaches, bloggers and entertainment writers who have had access to advance screenings of the Superman film have come forward with their reviews, most of which are positive.

A source of Joblo viewed "Man of Steel" at Warner Bros headquarters. The source said, "It's the best movie of the year... There's TONS of action with Superman kicking all kinds of a** in his suit."

The action and stunts of the Superman flick will not come as a surprise to one person in particular: Clack Kent/Kal-El actor Henry Cavill.

Cavill told Jay Leno on Thursday night that he was burned by fire during one of his stunts. In a segment of the interview, Cavill was asked about the oilrig fire scene shown in the "Man of Steel" trailers, according to ComicBook.com. Cavill and Leno discussed one scene that was a close call.

"There's this one bit that didn't make the movie, unfortunately, but I walked up toward these stairs looking for these guys working on the rig," Cavill said. "And they set off this 15- to 20-foot fireball in front of me. And I'm about 25 meters [feet] away from this thing, and the fire gel on me dries and cracks instantly."

"And had I not been wearing it, my skin would have blistered and come clean off."

But advance viewers seem to appreciate the advanced action sequences.

"Looks amazing, action is awesome, Cavill & cast are excellent. Unlike any Superman film we've seen so far..." one viewer said, according to Comic Book Movies.

Cavill recently did an interview with Huffington Post's Mike Ryan, in which he discussed the role of Superman, and the possibility of there being a Justice League movie made after "Man of Steel."

"It was such an opportunity to tell the story of this amazing character - and with amazing people like [director Zach] Snyder, [producer Christopher] Nolan ... and what turned out to be an absolutely epic cast."

Cavill also noted that as the film's release date approaches, he is starting to notice his increased fame.

"You know, people will stop me and ask for a photo. Going to Starbucks, I definitely feel that thing of 'Any minute now someone is going to say something' - then it will be photo bedlam. But it hasn't quite hit with its full force yet, but it's definitely changing."

Before the interview even took place, Cavill had been pondering a future Justice League movie.

"We were so excited about stuff, you did start thinking about future movies and what the storylines would be. And also, this the kind of stuff I like to read! So, it's a story I'm going to keep on imagining how it may continue."

No official announcement has been made about a Justice League movie, but since the success of the "Avengers" last summer, fans of DC superheroes have gotten excited about the possibilities.

"It's interesting - the combining of different worlds. Whether it happens or not, I just don't know," Caville said.
