Girls' Generation Sooyoung is known to have a slender figure since she made her debut as a K-pop idol and later as an actress. Although she doesn't look chubby, she revealed that she has more body fat than what everyone thinks. And in 2021, she had to go on a diet for the first time for her drama. Girls' Generation Sooyoung Diet Routine
In a video she uploaded to her YouTube channel in October 2021, Sooyoung detailed the reason for going on a diet for the first time.
"I'm filming a new drama recently and I have to look healthy on screen so I'm working hard at exercising," the idol-actress shared. "But no matter how much exercise I do, muscles still aren't showing up."

She continued that she talked with her personal trainer about her dilemma, and then they both decided that she should lose some body fat instead of just exercising to gain muscles.
"I have more body fat than what everyone thinks. The number is quite high, so it's like being skinny-fat," the singer revealed. "So I'm going on a diet for the first time in my life."
She then shared the simple meal she consumes- tofu noodles (which is her substitute for normal noodles). She cooks the tofu noodles by stir frying it with beef steak strips and spring onion. When cooking this for yourself, feel free to add condiments according to your taste, but for Sooyoung, she includes garlic and pepperoncini.

In November 2021, Girls' Generation Sooyoung uploaded another vlog featuring her second diet meal- which is pasta made with tofu noodles and comes with shrimps. Like her first diet meal, she also cooked the tofu noodles with garlic and pepperoncini.
In a separate diet vlog, Sooyoung revealed the dessert she eats while on a diet- a chocolate cake with bananas using almond powder instead of flour. This dessert is ideal for those who crave cakes or breads while dieting. You can make other desserts with almond powder, including brownies and cookies, among others.
For starters, eating food made with white flour leads to weight gain as white flour slows down digestion, creating a sluggish metabolism. Almond powder, on the contrary, is keto-friendly thanks to its low carb content.
