Tim Tebow Signing With New England Patriots After False Report From Yahoo Sports [Video]

Sources are claiming the former Florida Heisman winning quarterback and overtly religious quarterback, Tim Tebow, will sign with the New England Patriots report ESPN sources.

The Patriots are signing Tebow and he's expected to participate in the team's mandatory minicampt tomorrow as a guarterback according to ESPN's sources.

If the source proves correct, Tebow will be reunited with the Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniles, who was the head coach of the Denver Broncos when they traded up for him in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft.

New England's head coach, Bill Belichick has been outspoken in his respect for the 25-year-old quarterback. The Tebow rumors have been swirling since he was dropped by the New York Jets earlier this offseason.

Last month, Y! Sports cited a source within the Patriots organization who said the opposite of what Belichick has claimed publicly.

The Yahoo report said that Belichick actually disliked Tebow as a player and there was reportedly "no chance" of him landing with the New England Patriots.

Belichick told ESPNBoston.com that the report from Yahoo Sports was totally and completely untrue, which probably paved the way for today's coming announcement.

Coincidentally, the last time Tim Tebow started as a quarterback in the NFL was against Belichick's Patroits in the 2011 playoffs at Foxborough.

In that game Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led the Patriots in a blowout of the Broncos during the Broncos' visited to New England's Foxborough stadium.

The only reason Tebow was even playing against the Patriots in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs was after upsetting the heavily favored Pittsburgh Steelers in the wildcard round the week before.

In that game Tebow threw the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime and made everyone a believer in the Tebow dynasty.

But Tebow crashed back to earth as the Patriots dared him to beat them deep, knowing his noodle arm wouldn't be able to find Denver's wideouts.

And here's a comparison between Tom Brady and Tim Tebow:
