BAE173 'DaSH' MV Reaches 1 Million Views

Pocketdol Studio's boy group BAE173's latest music video has reached the million mark 11 days since its release.

Their out-of-this-world music video for the fourth title track "DaSH" continuously gains new views as the boy group continuously performs on different live music shows like MNET's "MCountdown," MBC's "Music Core, MTV's "The Show," and KBS' "Music Bank.

BAE173 Reveals Importance of 'ODYSSEY: DaSH'

In an interview, the members of BAE173 shared that this album is a bit closer to them because it is composed by one of their members, Dohyun.

Their leader Hangyul also said that having an album composed by one of their members is something he is proud of.

Meanwhile, they said that the main meaning of their album this time is to keep moving forward just like the lyrics of their song.

Dohyun, the member who helped composed the four-track album, said that he had to convince the company himself to let him do it. After achieving the task, he felt a great sense of accomplishment because he felt responsible for their music direction.

Dohyun has composed and written lyrics and songs for their previous albums so he has the experience and knows what is needed to be done for this album to finish. He stated in the same interview that he knows the group and his members very well so he is the best person to do the job.

Another member shared that the title track "DaSH" has another meaning after being asked what is their goal for this comeback.

J-Min said that they want to build a deeper connection with their fans. Through their song, a stronger bond has been created since the fans felt the sincerity of the lyrics.

More importantly, he also said that he wants this song to be the starting point of their popularity and increase in recognition from the public.

Meanwhile, Doha shared his answer by saying that his ultimate end goal is to hear their songs when he walks on the streets of Seoul. If that has happened, it means to him that they have a more diverse audience who listens and loves their songs.

MNET's 'Road To MAX' With BAE173

For BAE173's fourth mini-album "ODYSSEY: DaSH," MNET has chosen to feature the group in their "Road To MAX" show after the fans voted for the boy group. In the video, the idols talked to their fans and shared interesting stories and topics that they discussed.

Prior to BAE173's debut, members Hangyul and Dohyon participated in MNET's 4th installment of the produce series "Produce X 101." Both of them did end up in the final lineup and debuted with X1.

However, because of many cheating issues, the boy group had to disband. After leaving X1, Hangyul and Dohyon debuted as the duo, H&D, in April 2020.

After that, they debuted under BAE173 with the album "Intersection: Spark" on November 19, 2020. They promoted the title track "Crush on U."

The music video for their debut has reached 10 million views in just six days due to their online showcase on YouTube and their V Live.
