More often than not, K-pop vocalists from well-known groups are always talked about for their singing skills. However, there are times that other idols from the same group sing just as well as the main vocalist and are not as recognized.
This is why we listed 8 underrated vocalists that YOU need to know and appreciate.
WJSN Dawon
She was the original main vocalist of WJSN before former I.O.I member Yeonjung was put into the girl group. She was also the one singing high notes and is in charge of most choruses from their songs.
However, that changed when the famous vocalist Yeonjung joined the group. The former I.O.I member has more fans so Starship favored her more though they are both talented vocally.

Fromis_9 Jiwon
A contender to be a TWICE member, Jiwon of fromis_9 is also an underappreciated main vocalist in the K-pop industry.
She was in MNET's "Sixteen" with the other TWICE members and all of them acknowledged that she is the best singer out of all the contestants.
However, she did not debut in the group so she joined another MNET survival show "Idol School" and got into fromis_9 as one of the main vocalists.
She is mostly known by Flovers (fromis_9 fans) as the loud and funny member. Even in their own fandom, she is not that appreciated, which is sad.

Dreamcatcher Sua
Though she is the main dancer of her group, Sua is also an amazing vocalist. She often gets many lines in their songs and always gives her all when performing.
She also choreographs many Dreamcatcher cover performances and even their title tracks. Since Dreamcatcher already has three singers, she sometimes gets overlooked.

Purple Kiss Chaein
Now we have a former YG Entertainment on the list. This Purple Kiss member has a very unique vocal perfect for YG-style songs.
She mostly sings R&B songs as her voice suit that genre so much. Purple Kiss is full of talented singers and that is why there are times she is underappreciated by the fans.

LE SSERAFIM Chaewon
A product of MNET, the now LE SSERAFIM member Chaewon is another underappreciated vocalist. Though the former IZ*ONE member does get recognition, it is not enough compared to her singing talent.

(G)I-dle Minnie
The Thai member of the girl group (G)I-dle has an amazingly deep voice that adds the oomph factor to their songs. However, she is not as recognized as their main vocalist Miyeon.

Former Lovelyz Jin
The former member of Woollim girl group, Lovelyz is definitely on our list as the group itself is very underappreciated.
The only person on this list that went to the show "Mask Singer", Jin is a known vocalist among fans, but very underrated among non-fans and casual listeners.

aespa Giselle
The half-Korean half-Japanese member of aespa is more known for her rapping skills. But, she was a choir member and can definitely sing her heart out.
