IU "The Golden Hour" Concert: Soloist to Remove THESE 2 Hit Songs From Future Setlists
On Sept. 17 and 18, IU held her highly-awaited concert "The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun" at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The event took place in celebration of her 14th anniversary in the K-pop industry.
With this two-day show, IU became the first female Korean artist in history to hold a concert at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium, the biggest stadium in South Korea.

On Day 2 of IU's "The Golden Hour" concert, the female idol said, "Today's my 14th debut anniversary. I'm very lucky to be able to have a concert on a perfect day like this, and celebrate my debut anniversary as well."
She also made a surprise announcement regarding two of her hit songs. She said:
"I composed 'Palette' when I was 25 years old and treasured it. Now I've entered my 30s [in Korean age]. I'll leave this song to the 25-year-old Jieun [IU's real name]."
She continued, "I don't think I have to hold onto this song, so after this concert, you likely won't hear this song in my official setlist."

In addition to "Palette," IU also revealed that she will exclude "Good Day" in her future setlist as well. She explained while also cracking a joke:
"I released 'Good Day' when I was 18, and now I'm 30. Part of the lyrics go, 'I like you, oppa [a Korean term, often affectionate, for an older male]' but now I don't see a lot of guys older than me at my concerts."
She further said that it feels bittersweet for her to exclude the songs in her future setlists but she already made up her mind so that she can do new performances and new setlists. Still, she wanted everyone to remember that moment when she sang the songs at her "The Golden Hour" concert.

So, as per IU, fans will likely won't hear her sing "Palette" and "Good Day" in her future concerts.

IU Reveals During "The Golden Hour" Concert That She's Receiving Treatment- Here's Why
During her "The Golden Hour" concert, IU also made a confession to the fans.
She revealed, "There is a slight problem with my ear, so I was very nervous while preparing for this concert."
She added that she is receiving treatment these days for a hearing disorder, and that she has been struggling with the disorder for around a year now.
In a documentary for the concert, IU spoke about her disorder. "My ears are a little bad these days. My ears open on their own, so my hearing is similar to how you hear when yawning," she shared. "When I hear myself sing, it becomes too loud and rings."
The documentary then revealed that IU was diagnosed with Patulous Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, which causes a person to hear himself or herself too loudly.
