According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian's friend Jonathan Cheban was threatened by a woman on his plane via Twitter. The woman threatened to stab Cheban, who is a regular on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Cheban was flying from New York to Los Angeles when a woman on his flight tweeted at him: "Jonathan Cheban is on my flight, should I cut him with my weapon?" 

She then added: "I gotta pretty intense pocket knife with mehhh."

Cheban responded on Twitter: "Police?"

When the plane landed, police escorted the woman off the plane and detained her. They searched the woman and found that she was not carrying a weapon. She was released without being charged.

Later, the woman tweeted to Cheban: "It was a bad joke ... you look really hot babe."

Cheban told TMZ he never personally alerted authorities about the threat. Someone else reported the tweets, presumably the same person who responded on his Twitter account.

Cheban is a former PR executive, and according to TMZ is one of Kardashian's best friends.
