The Bachelorette Recap: The Bachelorette had two shockers last night: Brian getting kicked off for having a girlfriend, and adorable Brandon leaving without a rose after he proposed his love to Bachelorette Desiree. Desiree was a good sport about the whole thing and even Bachelorette host Chris Harrison applauded the maturity Desiree showed.

 When Brian's "girlfriend" came on the show and totally clobbered Brian for coming on the Bachelorette, Chris Harrison said it was up to Desiree Hartsock how to handle the news.

"I loved her attitude about the whole thing," he said about Desiree. "Instead of being sad, she was resilient and strong. On top of that, she was pissed and wanted him out in a big way."

"Somewhere between the front door and the backyard she found the strength because she let him have it and didn't stop. I mean, she really, really didn't stop, for a very long time. Des and I were standing there looking at each other and couldn't help but laugh as this guy got everything he deserved.

"It really wasn't a funny situation - it was actually very sad as this guy obviously was in no place to be there for Des, and he was obviously messing with this other woman's life."

However, Harrison teased that there may be more controversy to come, saying: "This was a very pivotal week for this season as it really was the jumping off point for how this will all play out in the weeks to come. Things took a very serious turn, and the drama isn't over."

However, on a serious note, sending sweet Brandon home was very emotional for Bachelorette fans. After Brandon confessed to Desiree his love for her, she sent the bachelor packing.

"What a mistake. What a giant mistake," he says miserably. "I pretty much just got my heart smashed by a hammer. And it sucks. I was in love with Des. She just didn't feel it. Once again, someone left me. Once again. Way to go, Brandon. I can't even cry. I'm just out of tears."
