SPIRE Entertainment CEO Embroiled in Abuse Scandal With OMEGA X
Recently on October 23, OMEGA X and their label SPIRE Entertainment became the center of an abuse scandal after a couple of fans shared on their social media having witnessed their label's CEO being abusive to the group members.
Based on witness accounts, they saw the OMEGA X members being abused by their CEO while they were in the Americas for their first world tour CONNECT: Don't Give Up, particularly while in Chile and Los Angeles.
The two witness accounts, which were shared through their Twitter, garnered much attention from both fans and non-fans, and quickly became viral across social media. With the abuse allegations reaching official media outlets in South Korea, SPIRE Entertainment had to issue a statement the following day on October 24.
Following the release of the footage, the SPIRE Entertainment CEO seemed to show no sign of remorse for her actions during a phone call with SBS News.
Instead, the CEO continued to deny inflicting any abuse on the members, and even demanded for SBS to track down the person who shared the footage.
In addition, the CEO is insisting that the people who gave witness accounts and shared the footage were "haters" of the label. She then claimed to care for the OMEGA X members, and that "there is no other label that can manage the group this well."
