OMEGA X's Japanese Management Company Terminates Contract With Spire Entertainment Amid Abuse Controversy

Skiyaki Inc., OMEGA X's Japanese management company, announced that it cut ties with Spire Entertainment amid the abuse and assault controversy surrounding its former CEO, Kang Seong Hee.

As the abuse and assault allegations against Spire Entertainment's former CEO have been proven true, OMEGA X members braved everything and took a massive step to cut ties with the agency. Aside from terminating the group's contract, it also plans to take further legal action against the former CEO.

Even the K-pop group's Japanese management company chose not to tolerate the company's behavior.

The members opened up that they also experienced similar situations during their stay at their previous agencies. For instance, Taedong said that his previous label treated him and the other trainees unfairly, making them practice 15 to 17 hours a day without rest.

The company also forced him to give them his passwords. Most members could be seen getting emotional as they recalled their experiences and expressed how these things were seemingly normalized.

The group's representative, attorney No Jeong Eon, said, "This isn't just an issue that only Omega X has been through, but it's about every young constituent of our society which is treated unfairly by those in power."

OMEGA X members, amid the controversy, assured their fans they would soon come back and perform on one stage together again.
