Kanye West Says He'll Never Appear on 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Ever Again Citing 'Backlash' & Not Liking Attention [Video]

Kanye West has new album coming out in less than a week's time, so he sat down for his first interview in years with the New York Times, in which he claimed to be done with Kim Kardashian's Keeping Up With the Kardashians reality-fest.

The whole interview is excellent, but it was Kanye's vow to never again show up on the E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, that stand as the best chance for relationship difficulties (forgetting about that whole cheating thing for a moment).

Not that Kanye West isn't used to controversy, but the 36-year-old emcee who speaks about himself in the third person at length during his hilarious interview with the New York Times, might want to ease up on bashing his baby-mama's family and television show.

Here is what Kanye told the Times:

"You know, the amount of backlash I got from it is when I decided to not be on the show anymore," he said.

"And it's not that I have an issue with the show; I just have an issue with the amount of backlash that I get. Because I just see like, an amazing person that I'm in love with and want to help," he added.

Here Kanye is appearing on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Good job in the piece by Kanye to both distance himself from the famewhoring the show rewards without insulting the soon-to-be mom his child.

As for his baby with the buxom Kim Kardashian? Yeah, there's going to be no fame for this child, according to the supposedly publicity shy Kanye.

When asked about fatherhood, Kanye replied,

"One of the things was to be protective, that i would do anything to protect my child or my child's mother. As simple as that. Well, I just don't want to talk to America about my family," he said. "Like, this is my baby. This isn't America's baby."

Tell that to Kim who has reportedly been discussing selling the baby picture rights to the likes of Us Weekly or People.

But Kim and Kanye or Kimye, have a new battle on the horizon, and no, we're not talking about any digs people will drum up in his forthcoming "Yeezus" studio album, his first solo effort since the critically praised and commercially successful, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

It appears that Kanye's been stepping out on Kim with a Canadian model, named Leyla Ghobadi.

Kanye has had a busy day during a busy month and he's not even a dad yet.
