In a Bollywood arrest related to the suicide of Jiah Khan, the late actress' boyfriend, Suraj Pancholi, was taken into custody Tuesday in Mumbai, India. 

Jiah Khan's boyfriend was arrested in on suspicion of abetting Khan's suicide that took place on June 3. Pancholi is the son of Bollywood couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab.

Pancholi was not present when Khan hanged herself at her Mumbai home last week, according to officials. However, the Jiah Khan's mother accused her boyfriend of abusing her daughter when Khan left a six-page suicide note accusing an unidentified individual of "ruining her life."

The note, found in her handbag, alleged that Khan was the victim of rape and abuse, and was forced to have an abortion.  A portion of the note reads:

"I am broken inside. You may not have known this but you affected me deeply to a point where I lost myself in loving you. Yet you tortured me everyday. These days I see no light I wake up not wanting to wake up. There was a time I saw my life with you, a future with you. But you shattered my dreams. I feel dead inside." 

"When I first met you, I was driven, ambitious and disciplined. Then I fell for you, a love I thought would bring out the best in me. I don't know why destiny brought us together. After all the pain, the rape, the abuse, the torture I have seen previously I didn't deserve this. It didn't matter how many gifts I gave you or how beautiful I looked for you. I was scared of getting pregnant but I gave myself completely (the) pain you have caused me everyday has destroyed every bit of me, destroyed my soul. If I stay here, I will crave for you and miss you. So, I am kissing my 10-year career and dreams goodbye. I never told you but I received a message about you. About you cheating on me. I chose to ignore it, decided to trust you. You embarrassed me."

25-year old Khan, who was born in New York as Nafisa Khan, was well known in India; she began her career in 2007 with the film "Nishabd", in which she portrayed a girl in love with her father's best friend. She hadn't worked much in recent years, however, appearing last in the 2010 film "Housefull".

Khan's body was found in her apartment by her mother on June 3; her parents have told police that their daughter suffered abuse at Pancholi's hands.

Police said that before Khan killed herself, Pancholi spent two nights with the actress and was the last phone call she made.

This is truly a tale made for the movies.
