After following BIGBANG T.O.P on Instagram, BTS V was met with criticisms from his very own fans ARMYs, and this was speculated to be the reason he eventually unfollowed his senior.

But why is it big deal to the fandom?

BTS V Follows BIGBANG T.O.P on Instagram – Is Idol Hinting at Possible Collab?

On January 15, BTS V created a frenzy when his Instagram Following became 8. It was shocking for ARMYs (fandom) as the idol is known to be only following his six BTS co-members and HYBE's Big Hit Music official account.

Upon looking at who's the lucky addition, fans were surprised to see that the person V unexpectedly followed is none other than BIGBANG T.O.P!

Recently, Korean media outlets and fans claimed that music released by BIGBANG x BTS following Jimin and Taeyang's collaboration will continue.

Due to this, there are speculations and theories that it could be G-Dragon with other BTS members, as the former is the only remaining BIGBANG member who's reportedly preparing for his solo comeback.

However, K-pop fans were astonished that their claim might be wrong after V suddenly followed T.O.P. They expressed excitement as this could be a hint from the "Singularity" singer about his possible team-up with the second-gen superstar, who's currently pursuing his solo career outside BIGBANG.

ARMYs Unhappy After BTS V Followed BIGBANG T.O.P – Here's What Idol Did

Unfortunately, this didn't end positively for BTS V, because after following T.O.P, he received mixed reactions from his own fandom, ARMYs.

While there are fans who are okay and were supportive of the singer's action, some expressed their anger by criticizing him via Instagram replies and direct messages.

The reason V's action is big deal to some ARMYs was due to BIGBANG T.O.P's allegedly "not pure" private life and messy image in the entertainment scene.

Looking at their perspective, these fans want to "protect" V from T.O.P and prevent his name from being associated with him.

However, they eventually received backlash from their co-ARMYs, highlighting that they went too far to the point they even dictate V what to do and what he can't do.

Amid the growing issue, the BTS member shortly unfollowed T.O.P.

Despite this, the discord in the fandom didn't end; thus, some ARMYs decided to calm the ruckus by stating that this could be V's other mistake of following an idol on Instagram.

In the past, the idol mistakenly followed BLACKPINK Jennie, but later on, unfollowed her as well.

Some VIPs (BIGBANG fans) then expressed their disappointment that their idol is being unfairly dragged into the issue despite being quiet and simply enjoying his life outside the limelight.
