Home to MOMOLAND, Lapillus and TFN (formerly known as T1419), the K-pop company MLD Entertainment is set to launch a K-pop-inspired, all-Filipino boy group!
MLD Entertainment To Debut Filipino Boy Group in South Korea in Mid-June 2023
The K-pop agency that created MOMOLAND, Lapillus and TFN is set to introduce a new boy group this year!
The group consists of seven members selected from the Korea-Philippines joint global audition program, "Dream Maker." This became possible in collaboration with Filipino broadcast channel ABS-CBN, global performance and IP producer KAMP Korea and MLD Entertainment, a South Korean agency.
In particular, the idol reality-survival show is like the PH counterpart of Mnet's popular "Produce" series, which first aired in November 2022 and ended its three-month run with the final live broadcast on February 12.
Under the hosting of renowned Philippine MC Ryan Bang and actress Kim Chiu, singers Darren Espanto, Bailey May, and Angeline Quinto worked as mentors.
The South Korean mentors' team was also present. There's Brown Eyed Girls Jea, choreographer Bae Yoon Jung, former MBLAQ Thunder, composers and producers Seo Wonjin and Bull (Bull's Eye), as well as MOMOLAND and Lapillus choreographer Bae Wan Hee.
In the finale episode, "Dream Maker" then announced the final 7, which were selected among 62 contestants.
JEROMY ranked, No. 1 with more than 3.18 million votes, No. 2 is Marcus, No. 3 is KYLER, No. 4 is VINCI, No. 5 is REYSTER, No. 6 is KIM, and No. 7 is Winston.
With this, the final lineup for the new boy group named HORI7ON has been confirmed.
