Will fromis_9 Disband? Concerns Raised After Group Cancelled Overseas Concert

Following the recent situation of fromis_9, K-pop fans, especially flovers, expressed concern about the future of the group. Will they disband?

fromis_9 Announces Group Won't Be Able To Attend 'We Bridge Music Festival & Expo'

On March 29, Pledis Entertainment, a subsidiary of HYBE announced the absence of fromis_9 from the upcoming music festival and expo in Las Vegas in April. According to the agency:

"fromis_9 was scheduled to participate in the 'We Bridge Music Festival & Expo' to be held in Las Vegas next month, but it became difficult to participate due to an internal schedule adjustment."

Pledis continued that both parties - members and the organizer - agreed to this, and proceed with apologizing to fans who anticipated fromis_9's performance.

The "We Bridge Music Festival and Expo" in Las Vegas set on April 21-23, initially confirmed that fromis_9 will join the concert on its Day 2 (Apr. 22), along with ONEUS Be'O, VIVIZ and ENHYPEN.

Unfortunately, flovers in LA won't be able to see them this time after the team backed out.

fromis_9 Raises Concern Over Possible Disbandment After Concert Cancellation, Delayed Comeback

While the agency didn't specify the reason for fromis_9's overseas concert cancellation aside from an internal schedule adjustment, there are fans and netizens who became more and more worried about the group's future.

Originally, these concerns stemmed from their decreasing group schedules as well as the departure of its member, Gyuri, in July last year.

Despite lengthy hiatus, fans were relieved that fromis_9 announced its comeback aimed for a mid-March release in February. Unfortunately, the much-awaited release of its first full-length album wasn't still unveiled as of March 29.

flovers has been waiting for an update about the group's new comeback schedule, yet, they received a concert cancellation instead.

Fans were alarmed since these are common signs of possible disbandment, but some flovers were looking at the bright side and hoping that their decision to don't attend a joint concert was related to their promised comeback.

In February, music officials confirmed that the team already finished filming a music video in Korea.

"The filming period alone took two weeks, and it was expected that the unprecedented amount that was not seen in fromis_9's music video before has been put in. They were confident about the music video's content."

With this, fans were leaving comments such as:

• "I hope it's not a serious problem."
• "Pledis, you better not disband fromis_9."
• "What's happening?"
• "It seems like they are adjusting their schedules after their delayed comeback."
• "I hope it's not disbandment."
• "What happened to their supposed March comeback?"

Despite speculations from fans and netters, Pledis Entertainment also told SPOTV News:

"It was an inevitable absence due to fromis_9's internal schedule adjustment. There is nothing special."
