LAS, composed of Avin and Slay, is a singer-songwriter duo that also produces and DJs. The two met when they were just twenty years old. As both of them loved music, they started writing songs together. Since then, they have made a name for themselves with their impressive songwriting credits, including IVE's famous tracks "Love Dive" and "My Satisfaction."
A Portfolio of Musical Collaborations
Their collaborations extend beyond idol groups, as they've written for hip hop artist Code Kunst, featuring Jackson Wang on the song "911." LAS Members: Avin and Slay
Avin, who was born Hwang Sang-cheol, is a vocalist, rapper, producer, and the duo's youngest member. When he was 16, he enrolled as a guitar major in a music school in the US. Three years after, he started DJing & producing music. In 2019, Avin received the Asia EDM Artist Award at the Asia Model Awards and has played at various festivals, including EDC Las Vegas and Korea with Groovyroom.
Slay, the duo's vocalist and producer, has produced songs for various K-Pop groups like Laboum, IVE, Kihyun, and Monsta X. Slay is also a dog lover, with a pet named Goldie.
