IVE Rei Takes Break: Health Concerns Force Hiatus Amid Group's Comeback

Starship Entertainment released a statement about IVE Rei taking a temporary break from projects due to health reasons.

According to the company, the 19-year-old Japanese singer has been experiencing heart palpitations and stuffiness, which prompted her a visit to the hospital for consultation and checkup. The doctors then recommended that she needs rest and treatment to recover.

Consequently, IVE Rei will be halting all promotional activities for the time being.

Comeback Promotions' Exhausting Nature

IVE just made their much-awaited comeback with their first full-length album, "I've IVE," featuring the title track "I Am."

The nature of comeback promotions is often grueling, involving long hours of practice, late-night travel, multiple music show guestings, interviews, photoshoots, dance challenges, and more.

Despite IVE Rei's temporary hiatus, IVE's music video for their title track "I AM" from their latest album, "I've IVE," has garnered significant success, crossing 16 million views on YouTube since its release on April 10.
