Toby Keith Organizes Charity Event to Raise Funds for Oklahoma Tornado Devastation

Country star and local Oklahoman Toby Keith announced on Thursday that his Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert will be held 6 at the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

The country music concert, entitled "Toby Keith Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert" is planned to benefit victims of the deadly tornadoes that devastated Oklahoma last month.

Joining Keith is fellow Oklahoma native Garth Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood. Other performers will include the legendary Willie Nelson and Ronnie Dunn. Keith is a native of Moore, where 24 people were killed in an EF5 tornado on May 20. Brooks, who lives in Owasso, says he's honored to participate in the concert.

Since the day after the EF5 tornado tore through Keith's hometown of Moore, the country star has been planning a benefit concert to aid the recovery efforts.

According to organizers the $25 tickets will go on sale June 21.
