BTS Suga Talks About Past as Delivery Driver on 'The Tonight Show'

BTS Suga and Jimmy Fallon's meeting on the show was not their first encounter. The K-pop idol had previously appeared on the show in July 2021 as part of BTS.

Nine months later, Suga reunited with the talk show host, this time as a solo guest!

On the show, Suga, who uses his moniker Agust D for his solo release, delivered the first-ever broadcast performance of "Haegeum," the title track of his new solo album "D-Day."

Accompanied by a live band, Suga impressed viewers with his fluid rapping skills and command of the stage. The performance showcased the unique emotions and style that Suga brings to his solo work.

 

Meanwhile, during the interview with Jimmy Fallon, Suga was asked about his past job as a delivery driver before he became known to the world as BTS Suga. He responded with a concise and amusing answer, "Yes, I did well."

When asked what he did well, he replied, "I drove well."

This surprising revelation drew attention and added to the overall entertainment of the show.

BTS Suga's Journey from Struggling Trainee to Renowned Rapper

Before becoming the successful BTS rapper we know today, Min Yoongi, also known as Suga, faced numerous challenges throughout his life.

As a student, Suga developed a passion for music, but faced opposition from family members who wanted him to pursue a stable career as a civil servant. Despite financial struggles, Suga persevered by composing songs, writing lyrics, and performing without earning any income.

As an idol-trainee, Suga experienced hardship and even resorted to buying lottery tickets out of desperation. He also took on a job as a delivery boy.
