Lindsay Lohan News: Troubled Actress Under Rehab Switched Facilities, Leaves Betty Ford Center For Luxury Malibu Clinic

According to the MailOnline, after much resistance, Lindsay Lohan looks like she’s finally settled to go under rehab at the Betty Ford Center.

But the troubled actress is switching facilities again as she moves on with her 90 day stint court-ordered rehab.

The Mean Girls star left the famous celebrity rehab clinic and transferred to the luxurious Cliffside centre in Malibu, according to reports.

Gossip blog TMZ claims that Lindsay Lohan is now settling into Cliffside where she’ll finish the rest of her treatment.

The move has been approved by the judge, the prosecutors and Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley, according to TMZ.

Holley was rehired by the former child star after she fired Mark Heller.

It was reported that the 26-year-old actress should spend the rest of her court-ordered rehab at Cliffside since the Betty Ford Center is better suited for a 30-day program.

Lindsay Lohan has carried out more than 30 days at the Betty Ford Center since she checked-in at the facility at the beginning of May.

Many believed that the young star moved from the Rancho Mirage facility to the luxury ocean side Malibu clinic on Wednesday.

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to a stint in the facility after pleading no contest to charges for lying to police authorities about driving during a car crash last June.

The move came on the heels of reports that Lindsay has become a “model patient” at Betty Ford. Sources have noted that she attends all her sessions and even took on board what she’s learning.

According to her spotlight-hungry father, Michael, before she became compliant, she was allegedly begging to leave the center.

Lindsay’s dad had been urging for her famous daughter to move, but wants her transferred to a Florida facility.

“I want to take care of some things with the court and get her transferred. She's at Betty Ford, I think it's only going to be temporary with regard to recovery, but if she goes to the Lukens Institute in Florida, where I want her to go, it's going to be permanent and I'll stake everything on it. I know she'll get better if she goes there,” said Michael.

He added, “She'll repeat the same program three times in a row. It's a 12-step program, and at least at Lukens it's extended care and it's one-on-one. It's a very, very high level of treatment.”

This is not the first time Lindsay Lohan is moving from one facility to another.

She was originally supposed to be at Seafield in New York, but instead spent two minutes in the Morningside Recovery center in Newport Beach prior to letting go of her lawyer Mark and rehiring Shawn Holley.

It was Holley who negotiated the deal for Lindsay to go to Betty Ford, where it has been known the troubled starlet had a fight with staff member Dawn Holland back in 2010.

According to E!, though the actress maybe getting treatment, she’s still making plans for her next move.

The entertainment site reports that she is slated to attend the Venice Film Festival in Italy, which starts this August, to promote her new film The Canyons.
