On June 1, various Korean outlets reported that EXO's supposed MV filming on the 2nd was temporarily postponed due to the conflict between SM and CBX.

It was also mentioned that aside from the trio, Kai will be excluded from the promotion due to his current military service, making it more impossible to have a promised full comeback.

As a response, SM Entertainment released an official update.

"The seven EXO members (Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Baekhyun, Sehun, Xiumin, and Chen) will shoot a new music video scheduled for the 2nd."

Regarding Kai, it was mentioned that EXO originally filmed another MV; thus, raising the expectation that the member is included in this one.

While a lot of Eris (EXO fandom's nickname) are supportive of EXO-CBX's decision to leave SM Entertainment, some can't help but feel disappointed as they have been waiting for the group's full comeback for four years, since EXO Xiumin's enlistment in 2019.

It will also be EXO's first comeback in about two years since their mini-album "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING" was released in February 2021.

Thus, it's bitter news for fans who will only get to see seven members without Kai and Lay despite waiting for a long time.

On top of that, they can't be fully happy given the tough battle the three members are facing right now.

Here are some of the reactions from EXO-Ls:

  • "Honestly, I'm hoping to see a full comeback."
  • "I waited for too long for this?"
  • "I thought the shooting could be delayed, but it still seems to continue properly."
  • "I hope this ends well."
  • "I hope the members unite well."
  • "It's good to think of the fans."
  • "Do whatever you want to do in CBX."
  • "I think it'll be okay between the members considering that we saw them off together."
