Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson hold hands in L.A.’s Echo Park, according to an eyewitness who was telling E! News.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart split up about a month ago. Reports have been saying that they have both been concentrating on moving on, but yesterday a little after noon they were spotted on an L.A. street smiling and holding hands. Kristen Stewart was in jeans and a short-sleeve T-shirt with a gray pullover tied around her waist. Robert Pattinson was wearing jeans and sneakers and a white crew-neck T-shirt.

The witness didn’t spy any public displays of affection, but said that it looked like Pattinson was protective of his former co-star. Kristen Stewart was photographed wearing the gray sweater a few hours later when she went to a meeting in Beverly Hills.

A source who is close to the “Twilight” lovers told media outlets that “They are broken up. They don’t want to make things worse by turning it into a media storm by doing stupid things or making their grievances heard in the public. Overall, they are speaking but not much — and they are not speaking to get back together. Kristen has been just laying low, hanging out with her closest friends and trying to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. She’s just eager to start working again and get busy.”

Another friend told HollywoodLife.com that the 23-year-old actress told her she “misses her best friend. It’s like a part of her has died and she is still going through the grieving process.”
