aespa Karina Claims It's 'Lie' When K-pop Idols Say They 'Don't Have Time'
There is a video containing aespa Karina's remark that became controversial among K-pop fans.
Earlier, the "Spicy" singer appeared as a special guest for the YouTube entertainment show, "My Alcohol Diary," hosted by rapper Lee Young Ji.
Following the broadcast, the YouTube channel continued uploading a behind-the-scenes clip of the episode, showing unaired scenes with the star.
Just then, one piece of information about Karina shocked Lee when the idol confirmed that she has finished all of the game, "Gardenscapes."
In particular, Karina surprised the rapper even more by explaining that she cleared level 9926 in the game and became among the Top 1% in Korea.

Hearing this, Lee Young Ji was even more amazed how Karina can do all of this despite her busy schedule.
"Do you even have time for that?"
"I do have a lot of time. It's all a lie when celebrities say they don't have time."
She added:
“How much time is spent during the travel time and waiting time for something, but you can't play even one game in the meantime?"

Following the broadcast, Karina's remark spread online and became a hot topic among K-pop fans and internet users.
Initially, some agreed that it was "all bunch of lies" for idols to say that they are too busy they don't have time.
- "They say they are busy with work, but they have time to party."
- "They have a lot of time, they can even watch movies I don't know."
- "It's true though, there are times idols are so busy, but it doesn't mean they don't have time."
On the flip side, others showed strong opposition to Karina's remark.
According to them, the idol is trying to "generalize" idols. They also criticized Karina for saying this, given that aespa doesn't have a comeback that often, and they don't also work on their own music.
- "They can't speak for everybody."
- "We get it you're jobless."
- "If she said this, what would the celebrities who said they didn’t have time become?"
Meanwhile, on the 21st, aespa Karina started to host the Busan Expo as an idol representing Korea. She attended the competitive presentation for the 2030 World Expo which was held at the BIE General Assembly held in Paris, France on the 20th (local time).
At the time, Karina caught eyes after appearing in the opening video to the last scene, bolstering her bid to host the 2030 Busan World Expo. She represented future generations in fluent English and insisted on the need to host the expo.
