On December 7, singer Yoon Hyuk, a former member of the R&B duo Disembowel, was apprehended and charged by the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office on accusations of defrauding acquaintances and extorting money.
According to legal authorities, Yoon Hyuk has been accused of committing acts that violate the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Certain Economic Crimes (fraud) since 2019.

Yoon Hyuk Vanishes, Payments Unsettled
Yoon Hyuk stands accused of borrowing significant amounts or inducing investments from acquaintances, ranging from millions to tens of millions of won.
However, instead of fulfilling his obligations, he vanished into thin air, leaving his lenders without repayment or the promised returns.
One victim, who decided to take legal action against the singer, shared their experience with SBS Entertainment News.
"Last September, Yoon Hyuk approached me casually and proposed investing in my distribution business, promising a return of 9~15% on the principal. Trusting his public image, I sent him nearly 30 million won, but he failed to fulfill his commitment."
The victim expressed disbelief and added her sentiments.
"I never expected someone well-known like him to be dishonest." Another individual recounted, "I lent him money in a hurry, believing he faced family difficulties, but he never paid me back. It turned out he had fabricated the family injury story, leaving me devastated."

Yoon Hyuk's music career began in 1 with the song "Man's Love" by Jia, and later he collaborated with DK as part of the group "Disember".

Subsequently, he embarked on a solo career in 2017, releasing the OST "I Don't Know My Heart So Sick" for the drama "The One and Only Me".
However, following this album, his activities as a singer significantly diminished.
