Chris Brown and Rihanna ended their relationship just a month ago, but it seems like a lifetime since he jumped right back into the arms of ex-girlfriend, Karreuche Tran. Now the R&B singer says he's happy with the choice.

The 24-year-old Brown broke up with the 25-year-old Rihanna last month, and the 25-year-old Tran was the woman he fell into the arms of while rebounding from Riri.

A source told HollywoodLife.com "He's in charge of his relationships and calls the shots with Kae and she's down with that," the source reveals. "[H]e's cool with where things are with her and so is she. It works out great for his a**."

Supposedly, Brown prefers to be in a relationship that's more laid back where he calls all the shots. 

Rihanna wanted too much from him, and he didn't take kindly to all the smothering (not like when he smothered her with his fist back in 2009). 

"She wants too much from him," the same source explains. "Rihanna wants him to be with her all the time, be on her tour, she wants his a** on lock."

"[Rihanna] is jealous that he has a business with Kae," the source adds. "It wasn't like he was about to get [Karrueche] out his life just because Rihanna asked him to. Besides, Kae was down for [Chris] when Ri wasn't. She was his support system and that's something he won't forget."

Brown and Tran were caught snuggling on Instagram recently (see pick above), and it's pretty obvious he's back with his former beau after dumping Rihanna last month. 

The Instagram pick of the pair was uploaded by rapper Kid Red, who is a mutual friend of both Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran.

The caption on the image reads, "No friendship without love!"

Brown and Karrueche were also supposedly hanging out backstage at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert in New Jersey earlier this month.

It's also believed that Karrueche Tran has moved back in with Chris Brown at his LA mansion. 

Obviously, Rihanna is busy with her summer "Diamonds" World Tour where she recently got some flack for some skin-tastic billboards in anticipation of her late June performance in Ireland. 

Riri probably doesn't care that Brown is officially back with his ex. She's got bigger things to think about.
