Here's what people are saying.
Music Fans Relay Mixed Reactions To Rolling Stone's '100 Greatest Songs in the History of Korean Pop Music'
On July 20, Rolling Stone released their list of "The 100 Greatest Songs in the History of Korean Pop Music," which enumerated the most prominent songs over the genre's long-standing timeline throughout the years.
The list covered a total of 100 songs released by numerous Korean artists, including both soloists and idol groups. It listed the most popular songs such as "Gee" by SNSD, "Spring Day" by BTS, "Me Gustas Tu," by GFRIEND, and many more.
they came into the industry w a niche genre barely anyone dared attempting. they’ve even pioneered their own genre, which definitely was VERY influential to the rock phase that k-pop had.

I would've stopped listening to the offspring of this biblically accurate capitalist machine called k-pop if it wasn't for dreamcatcher so, please consider including them in your future rankings <3

There's so many 4th gen in here, and some are just new releases. Some songs and artists are missing, and some songs should be ranked higher. This list is bad. https://t.co/razt57e86B

Not only is this list ridiculously bad but BangBangBang being 66 is laughable since I’ve heard this song play everywhere in Seoul AND Busan as if it dropped today. https://t.co/44HVrM6R1V pic.twitter.com/x5IMKHPRr0

Meanwhile, some fans were simply grateful for the list that celebrates K-pop's legacy and continuity.
I always question their rankings especially for kpop but at least my faves are in the Top 20. SHINee and f(x) https://t.co/sUX0TPsnh8
