In a significant development, the Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor's Office has formally concluded its exhaustive investigation into the case of Army Nurse 'A,' who faced accusations of leaving their designated base without proper authorization to administer a vaccination to BTS member Jin at a neighboring military facility.

Investigation Results and Charges against 'A'

The prosecutor's office meticulously examined two charges brought against 'A': first, the alleged theft of medical supplies without proper documentation, and second, the accusation of deserting their post without due notification.

After a thorough investigation, the conclusion has been reached that 'A' is entirely "not guilty" of the first charge. Furthermore, the prosecutor's office has decided to "waive" the indictment for the second charge.

Regarding the second charge, it was verified during the investigation that 'A' did indeed inform their immediate supervisor about the situation. However, the prosecutor's office considered that 'A' should have also reported the matter to the base commander, leading to the decision to "waive" the indictment.

Throughout the proceedings, 'A' steadfastly denied all allegations and maintained that their assistance was urgently requested by the neighboring base, which was facing a shortage of medical personnel.

The Aftermath: 'A' Exonerated and Lessons Learned 

'A's legal counsel argued that the controversy stemmed from "a malicious news report that failed to verify sources before spreading false rumors," and subsequently snowballed without discrimination. In light of this development, 'A' can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the cloud of suspicion has been lifted.
