Amid SONEs celebration of Girls' Generation's 16th debut anniversary, there are speculations that Sunny most likely left SM Entertainment after THIS alleged hint.

SNSD Delivers Special Messages to SONEs on 16th Debut Anniversary

On August 5, the "Nation's Girl Group" Girls' Generation (SNSD) proved their status as "longevity queens" as they mark their 16th debut anniversary!

Unfortunately, the group is currently busy with their respective schedules, hence, the team won't be able to celebrate the special day with its fandom SONEs either through a live broadcast or any party offline.

Despite this, the remaining SNSD members under SM Entertainment still prepared something for their loyal fans and released special messages through the KWANGYA app.

Earlier, Tiffany, Seohyun and Sooyoung left SM, thus, only Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri, YoonA and Hyoyeon were under the company now.

On the girls' special messages, leader Taeyeon thank fans for being with them, saying:

“To SONEs,

The reason why I can't hate the hot summer days, (is because of) Soshi and SONEs existence.Thank you for unchangingly being by our side this year too! Let’s celebrate our 16-year-old birthday together!"

Yuri, YoonA and Hyoyeon also thanked their fans and co-members, expressing their desire to be together with SONEs in the following years, too.

Sunny's Message for SONEs is 'Missing'– Is She Still With SM Entertainment?

While SONEs feel emotional and teary-eyed about the members' special messages for them, there are also fans who showed concerns after they noticed that Sunny's special message is "missing."

Initially, fans think that the social media holder of the group made a mistake in posting the girls' messages but amid the inquiry of SONEs, there was no reupload.

As a result, netters are quick to suspect that Sunny has already left SM Entertainment or wasn't actively promoting under the company anymore, given that members from other companies such as Tiffany, Seohyun and Sooyoung don't have their prepared special messages uploaded on SNSD's fandom community as well.

While this is only a mere speculation and SM is yet to make its official position regarding this, there are Sunny's supporters who pointed out that it's not a surprise if she will opt to leave the company, which is indeed set to undergo a renewal discussion this year.

Aside from she wasn't properly promoted under the label, especially with her solo activities, one factor that can also affect her decision was Lee Soo Man's departure from the company.

It is not a secret that the SM Founder is the idol's uncle from her father's side. It was also hinted at a recent broadcast that her passion for music was influenced by her father and uncle who were band members and singers before, respectively.

Meanwhile, others think that Sunny doesn't have to prove anything and is now contented with the success she achieved so far she most likely prefers to step down from the limelight in the meantime.

Nevertheless, SONEs attested to her that they will support Sunny regardless of the decision that she will make in the future. Regarding the rumor of leaving SM, the company is yet to make its official statement.
