In a fierce battle of summer comebacks among female solo artists, Jeon So-mi has emerged victorious, claiming the coveted title of "Summer Queen" with her chart-topping hit, "Fast Forward."

The K-pop sensation's title track from her mini-album "GAME PLAN," released on August 7th, has taken the music industry by storm.

Fierce Competition in the Summer Queen Battle

Notably, it secured the 8th place on the Certified Music Chart's 32nd week, a remarkable achievement considering the tough competition. Jeon So-mi is now the only female solo artist to enter the top 10 on this prestigious chart.

Furthermore, Jeon So-mi's domination extends to the Melon Chart, one of South Korea's largest music platforms. As of the 3rd, "Fast Forward" had secured the 5th spot on the daily chart, solidifying her reign as the Summer Queen.

This summer, the competition for the "Summer Queen" title was nothing short of fierce, with numerous established artists vying for the crown. 

Jeon So-mi's victory, however, was not only well-deserved but also groundbreaking. She managed to revolutionize the music chart landscape with her dance-infused track "Fast Forward," making her the only female solo artist to enter the Melon daily chart top 100 with a new dance genre song.

"Fast Forward" has garnered widespread acclaim for its refreshing sound and Jeon So-mi's powerful vocals, perfectly capturing the essence of the summer season. The song initially entered the Circle Chart's weekly chart at 50th place, then swiftly climbed to 17th place, securing a spot in the top 10.

The viral "Fast Forward" dance challenge played a pivotal role in boosting the song's popularity. Featuring an energetic Techtonik dance with vigorous arm movements set to a powerful electro beat.

The challenge stirred memories of the late 2000s for some and provided fresh enjoyment for the MZ generation. The music video's inclusion of scenes with a nostalgic flip phone added a touch of nostalgia.

 With this victory, Jeon So-mi has firmly established her position in the music industry, dispelling any doubts about her chart performance.
