iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 Release Date: Possible Launch Of Tablets 3Q 2013, Same Schedule As iPhone 5s and iPhone 6

The release dates of the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will happen at the third quarter of this year, according to Apple Insider.

Rumors have it that the Cupertino tech giant will release the latest iteration of the tablets together with the official download availability of the iOS 7.

This makes the official announcement for the new tablets coinciding with the rumored release of the iPhones 5S and iPhone 6.

The Stabley Times notes, however, that Apple’s release patterns are so different lately that it’s becoming more difficult to predict what its next release would be. It used to be a regular event for the company to launch new iPhones in the fall along with an updated version of the iOS, then follow it up with release of new iPads in the spring.

The tech giant shifted its cycle of launches last fall, launching the new iPhone in September with the updated iOS 6 and then releasing the fourth-generation iPad and the hugely successful iPad Mini a month later, according to Stabley Times.

Rumors have it that the iPad Mini 2 is ready for launch and the iPad 5 is merely waiting for an official announcement.

The International Business Times reports that the iPad 5 will have no bezels and the whole form factor has been made sleeker. The iPad Mini 2, on the other hand, is expected to have a feature screen with a resolution of 2084 x 1536. It will have four times the resolution of the iPad Mini and will match the resolution of the fourth generation iPad

Other specs reported by the Business Times include: more powerful dual core A7 processor, 7.9 inch screen, 10-hour battery life, FaceTime HD camera, and an iSight camera with 1080 pixels HD video recording.

In line with tradition, Apple does not comment on any product launch rumors or pending developments in their current product line.
