HTC One Mini August Release Date: UAProf Confirms Rumored Specs And Features, Smartphone To Run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

The HTC One Mini release date is rumored to be in the third quarter, and likely in August.

Rumors of the Taiwan-based tech company's miniature version of its flagship offering, the HTC One, have been spreading quickly as the rumored release date approaches.

The HTC One Mini's User Agent Profile (UAProf) is now available on HTC's website, revealing some of the phone's specs, including manufacturer details, model name and number and multimedia capabilities, according to NDTV Gadgets.

The device is labeled 'HTC One Mini', so the rumors about the downsized HTC One phone's name appear to be correct.

The HTC One Mini will reportedly come with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The operating system appears to be Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is an upgrade of the default Android 4.1 that came on the HTC One.

The Mini will also have an Audio/Video Remote Control, suggesting it will have the same Infrared remote capabilities as the HTC One.

Rumors prior to the UAProf becoming available claimed the device would come with a 1.4Hz dual-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The HTC One Mini will feature a 1,700 mAh battery and Beats Audio support.

The smartphone will also allegedly come with an Ultrapixel camera like the HTC One.

The HTC One Mini is expected to be released in the third quarter to compete with such devices as the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, and the yet-unconfirmed Google Moto X phone by Motorola.

Anonymous sources of Bloomberg claimed the HTC One Mini would be available to the public in August.

Specs, pricing information, and the official release date of the HTC One Mini have yet to be confirmed.
