Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members Starting July: Get Free Copy Assassin’s Creed 2, Halo 3 From Microsoft

Xbox Live Gold members should expect two free games every month from Microsoft starting this July. Some of the games Microsoft will offer include Assassins Creed 2 and Halo 3.

Microsoft announced last week during its E3 2013 press conference that it will be offering two free games per month to Xbox Live Gold members. The free games to be given away will include popular titles such as Assassin's 2 and Halo 3, according to Engadget.

Meanwhile, IGN reported that Fable 3 is currently free on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Xbox Live gold members can take advantage of this free game even if they do not have Microsoft points in their Marketplace account. However, those with Silver subscriptions will have to shell out 3600 Microsoft Points to have their own copy of Lionhead's Fable 3.

Xbox Live gold members only need to select the 'Use Microsoft Points' option when asked how they would like to play. It will then show that the cost for the game Fable 3 is 0 Microsoft points. So, once the players confirm the deal, a copy of Fable 3 will automatically be theirs.

At first, it was uncertain if the Fable 3 giveaway was a mistake from Microsoft or some kind of a special treat from the giant tech company. But later on, Eurogamer reported that the free Fable 3 giveaway that started during last week's E3 2013 event was intentional.

The giveaway was a special treat to kickoff the 'two free games' Microsoft deal, which will include Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 come July.
