On November 8, X (Twitter) was flocked by stans who defended Bang Si Hyuk for his "controversial" comment regarding K-pop.
The netters called out Bang Si Hyuk for his intentions for the K-pop industry and claimed that by doing so would remove the unique identity of Korean pop music entirely. Some also pointed out the "Western worship" in Bang Si Hyuk's plans and thoughts.

- "Unlike in 2012, K-pop is now accessible these days because of its popularity. The portion who aren't K-pop fans are just people who are simply not into it because it's not their taste."
