In a heartfelt announcement on December 4, former Laboum member Yulhee revealed that she and her husband, FTISLAND's Choi Minhwan, have chosen to part ways, marking the end of their marital journey.
Yulhee expressed her sincerity to fans, conveying the difficult decision after extensive efforts and discussions. She shared,
"Today, I am sorry for coming to you guys with heavy news, but I am writing this to tell you in person. After many efforts and conversations, we have decided to go our separate ways."
Despite the decision to end their romantic relationship, Yulhee emphasized the ongoing commitment to their roles as parents.
She assured, "Although our road as a couple has ended, it does not mean our responsibilities as a father and mother have come to an end. Therefore, we are doing our best to raise our children and to communicate."
Yulhee disclosed that Choi Minhwan is currently taking care of their children, a decision made after thoughtful consideration to minimize any psychological impact on the youngsters.
She affirmed, "After a lengthy discussion to lessen the psychological toll on the children, we decided it was right for them to continue to stay where they are, and therefore, the children are currently staying with their father. I am spending as much time with the children as possible so that they don't feel my absence."
Expressing concern for their fans, Yulhee acknowledged the potential shock and extended gratitude for the support received.
