ReVeluvs Furious After Catching Russian Artist Photoshopping Red Velvet Joy's 'Hello' Album Jacket

A self-proclaimed Russian artist received anger of ReVeluvs after he was caught photoshopping Red Velvet Joy's "Hello" album jacket. Who is he?

On December 11, a ReVeluv took to X to call out an artist on Spotify with the name Yurii for allegedly plagiarizing Red Velvet Joy's special EP, "Hello," released in 2021.

Upon looking into it, the artist blatantly edited Joy's photos for his upcoming special album, "YURA:HELLO."

Who is Yurii? Russian Artist Caught Copying Red Velvet Joy's 'Hello' Concept Photos

When the X post circulated in K-pop, especially among ReVeluvs, it amassed over 637k views and 712 qrts. Netizens were weirded out by the fact that Yurii didn't even try to re-create Joy's look himself and shamelessly inserted his face into it.

When ReVeluvs saw this, fans expressed their desire to take actions against the so-called artist, and invite other fans to help them report the account as deceptive content.

Although there are people who said that it is not a big deal since Yurii's not even popular and will probably not affect Joy that much, fans emphasized that it is illegal and this is a way to protect Joy in the future.

  • "Absolutely shameless."
  • "Not the photoshop to Joy's face."
  • "Photoshop failed."
  • "I really hope her company does something about this because this is crazy."
  • "This is so? She didn't even try to recreate but straight up edited her face on Joy."
  • "This shxt isn't funny to be honest, just fxcking irritating."
