Jesse Ventura, Conspiracy Theory Host, Wants Lawsuit Against Chris Kyle’s Widow to Go Forward

Jesse Ventura, “Conspiracy Theory” host, wants his lawsuit against Chris Kyle to move forward. Jesse Venture asked a federal judge to allow Chris Kyle’s widow as the defendant.

Jesse Ventura claims Chris Kyle defamed him when he wrote about a bar fight that never happened. Chris Kyle was killed at a Texas gun range in February. Chris Kyle wrote the book “American Sniper.”

Jesse Ventura wants to the suit to move forward with Kyle’s widow. Kyle was considered one of the deadliest American snipers in history. Kyle wrote in the book “American Sniper” that in 2006 he got into a bar brawl with a man described as “scruff face.” The man he had the fight with was later identified as Jesse Ventura.

Jesse Ventura, the host of the cable show “Conspiracy Theory,” says that the fight never happened. He filed suit against Kyle for defamation. Jesse Ventura, who was once the governor of Minnesota, wants Kyle’s widow to serve as the defendant since Kyle was killed earlier this year.

David Bradley Olsen, the lawyer for the former wrestler turned governor, argues that Kyle’s widow, Taya Kyle, and Kyle’s estate will continue to profit from book sales and an upcoming movie. The lawyer says that Jesse Ventura still has the right to repair the damage from the assertion.

John Borger, who is Chris Kyle’s attorney, says that Ventura will damage his reputation further by pursuing legal action against the widow.

Borger said, “Continuing this action will serve no useful purpose, and likely will promote public perception of Jesse Ventura as someone who has little or no regard for the feelings and welfare of surviving family members of deceased war heroes.”
