On January 15, YouTube channel Sebasi Talk uploaded their latest video. In their latest upload, EXID member Hanni held a talk. Her boyfriend, Yang Jae Woong, was in the audience as she gave her talk.

The idol recalls how she was during the sudden reverse ranking on the chart "Up & Down" experienced. For reference, the song climbed up the charts after a fancam of Hani went viral, allowing EXID to achieve overnight success.

Hanni recalls the sudden change she endured; suddenly, the group was famous, and everyone recognized her. However, she struggled with the sudden popularity because she felt she, as a person, had not changed.

"One day, I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, my whole world flipped 180 degrees. Everyone recognized me, and we were winning first place on music shows. My dreams suddenly came true. But what was strange is that when people finally recognized me, I would look at myself and see the same me. I thought, I am not good enough. I'm not all that attractive."

Hanni became an overnight household name. And that rise in fame caused an immense amount of pressure on her.

She revealed that she had a hard time using social media at that time because there were so many charming people online. Seeing them would cause Hanni to compare herself to them, leading her to blame herself and drown in her negativity. At the time, she did not realize how much she was struggling.

However, she suddenly realized how unhappy she was while taking a show. However, she did not know what to do, and she was not sure if she would ever be happy in the future.

"Social media at the time was really difficult for me since there are so many attractive people online. I beat myself up for blaming myself and making comparisons to them. At the time, I was unaware that my heart was having trouble. While having a shower one day, I suddenly realized how sad I was. I was quite certain that my future would not bring me happiness. I was so scared."

After her contract with Banana Culture expired, Hanni decided to stop her activities for awhile and travel the world. She confessed to being nervous and afraid of the future at that time and how she wanted to find the most important thing in her life.

"That was a scary and anxious time in my life. Nothing about the future was certain. I believed that finding the thing I lost was extremely important. That was the start of my active wandering. I first traveled to Greece. However, I was unable to spend more than 20 minutes in one cafe. I felt like I had to do something."

Hanni prioritized finding stability and living the life she wanted. The idol-actress found a group where they talk about each other while keeping their age and job a secret. She opened up about her victimization and her need to be perfect, and she felt comforted when others related to her concerns.

Nowadays, Hanni is much happier than before.

"Honestly, I had a sense of victimization at that time. People always wanted me to be perfect, so I felt the need to be perfect at everything. Because people saw me as a prize, I had a sense of victimization. I felt the need to reach everyone's expectations. But people in the group were having similar concerns as me. For some reason, that comforted me."
