Amazing Spider-Man 2 Gets Sequels, Third And Fourth Installments Confirmed: Felicity Jones Joins Cast As Black Cat Alongside Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx?

"Amazing Spider-Man 2" actor Andrew Garfield is set for years, as Sony Pictures confirmed on Monday that it would release a third and fourth installment of its "Spider Man" series.

At the announcement of "Spider-Man 2" several months ago, most assumed that Electro, played by Jaimie Foxx, would be the only villain. But a recent interview suggests that Felicity Jones may be joining the cast of "Amazing Spider-Man 2," and possibly the third and fourth iterations of the super hero film, as Black Cat.

Sony will release "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" on May 2, 2014. The next Spider-Man films will be released on June 10, 2016 and May 4, 2018.

"Spider-Man is our most important, most successful and most beloved franchise, so we're thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years," said Jeff Blake, Chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony Pictures in a press release.

It isn't clear if Mark Webb will return for the third and fourth "Spider-Man" films, but he is currently shooting "Spider-Man 2" in New York. The film's script was written by Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci and Jeff Pinker, who are working on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt.

Emma Stone is starring in "Amazing Spider-Man 2" as Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker's love interest from the first film. Shailene Woodley will play Mary Jane Watson, competition for Peter Parker's romantic attentions.

Chris Cooper and Dane DeHaan will play Norman Osborn and son Harry. Paul Giamatti will reportedly play villain 'the Rhino,' according to The Hero Complex.

Giamatti and Foxx won't be the only actors playing villains, or at least getting set up for villainous roles in the future Spider-Man iterations, in "Spider-Man 2."

Felicity Jones seemed to slip in a recent interview, revealing that she would play Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, in "Amazing Spider-Man 2."

Bleeding Cool first reported Jones's alleged confirmation of her role in the film. When Jones was asked if she was looking forward to having the public see her as Black Cat in the movie, she replied, "Umm, well...possibly, I don't know. Yeah, if that happens, that would be wonderful."

Jones was made public as a cast member in January with Paul Giamatti, but her role in the film remains unconfirmed.
