Sofia Vergara, the 40-year-old Columbian star of "Modern Family," was making headlines today for posting a racy picture online today. But let's not forget that Vergara also has brains.

Vergara shared a sexy photo of herself lounging by the pool in a pink thong bikini on her WhoSay account, The Huffington Post reports. 

Earlier this month, Vergara told The Huffington Post that she owed a lot to her curves. The actress also famously has a 32F bra size.

"To be a pretty girl, to be a voluptuous girl, has opened many doors for me. I would be ungrateful to say it's all because of my brains and my talent," the actress said.

But she continued, "I have stayed working for 20-something years, so there must be something else behind the guns."

The Latinos Post reveals that Vergara prefers curling up with a good book to watching TV.

"I'm always reading. I read up to three-four books a month", she told NocheLatina.com.

Vergara said she loves Latin American literature, especially Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Marquez's "One Hundred Years of Solitude." She also recommended Carlos Ruiz Zafron's "La sombra del viento".
