BLACKPINK Lisa To Make Acting Debut, Joins Cast of 'The White Lotus'
On February 13, 2024, Variety released an exclusive report confirming BLACKPINK member Lisa will be joining the cast of "The White Lotus" for its third season. This marks Lisa's acting debut.
Lisa will be credited under her birth name, Lalisa Manoban. Details about her role are being kept confidential, as with all castings for the upcoming season.
Production for the series is scheduled to commence in February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand. While specific plot details remain undisclosed, the season will revolve around a fresh set of guests at a White Lotus resort property.
Lisa is the third member overall to make her acting debut and the second to make her Hollywood debut. Jisoo was the first to make her debut with "Snowdrop" in 2021. Jennie followed suit in 2023 with a role in "The Idol."
"The White Lotus" became an instant success for HBO upon its debut in 2021. The first season, set in Hawaii, garnered 20 Emmy nominations. The renowned series secured ten wins, including the prestigious title of best limited or anthology series.

Following its success, the second set, set in Sicily and released in December 2022, received 23 Emmy nominations, including a nomination for best drama series. The show ultimately snagged five awards.
This marks Lisa's first official activity following the launch of her own management company, LLOUD Co.

On January 26, 2024, Lisa took the stage at the Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes charity event hosted by the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron, in Paris. There, she treated concertgoers to a medley of her solo hits "LALISA" and "MONEY."
