In a broadcast, (G)I-DLE Shuhua drew attention for her remark about the group's grueling schedule prior to her hiatus. Is she hinting at an early retirement in the K-pop scene?
On February 17, the singer made an appearance on the YouTube web program, "Kang Hyung Wook’s Dog Guest Show." There, Shuhua drew attention for hinting at the reason for her temporary break and the future career she wants to pursue if she ever retires from the entertainment industry.
Shuhua Reveals Reason She Took Break from (G)I-DLE's Comeback Activities
In a recording that was made before the release of (G)I-DLE's second full-length album "2" on January 29, the K-pop star talked about her difficulties, caused by the team's exhausting schedule.
When asked if her schedule was hard, Shuhua agreed.
"It was very difficult. First of all, there is a schedule every day. I'm so tired. There is a practice even after this filming. As the title track, "Super Lady" suggests, it is a song that is powerful, confident and cool. I have to do it like crazy."

Her remark especially drew attention, because on February 8, she wasn't able to finish their comeback promotion for the aforementioned song due to health issues.
At the time, Cube Entertainment, her agency stated:
"Recently, Shuhua visited the hospital due to persistent dizziness symptoms that continued due to poor physical condition.
After receiving the opinion of the medical staff that she needed sufficient stability and rest, our company has decided to suspend all her schedules for the time being despite Shuhua showing a strong commitment to her activities.
We will ensure that the artist can focus on stabilizing, receiving treatment and recovering her health.”

Following her hiatus, there are recent sightings of her roaming at a night market in Taiwan, criticizing her for playing instead of resting amid her hiatus due to health issues.
As a response, there are claims that she's trying to avoid the group's schedules which led to claims that she won't renew her exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment.
In the program, Shuhua once again sparked interest with her remark on her plan if ever she retires from the industry.
When asked about her backup plan for the future, Shuhua honestly, responded:
"Yes, I do. I want to do it if I get too tired of the entertainment industry later on. I'll say it nicely, I have a dream to run a pet business later. I think it will be very popular."
When Kang Hyun Wook suggested her to name it "(Woof)I-DLE, Shuhua immediately dismissed the idea and jokingly said:
"That's too bad. I'll think about it more."
