Why are BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Lisa receiving opposite reactions for their self-introductions on their respective company websites? Keep on reading to learn the true reason why.
BLACKPINK Jisoo Earns Praise for Self-Introduction on Blissoo Website
On February 21, 2024, Jisoo officially announced the launch of her own company, Blissoo. The announcement immediately caused a stir on social media. The idol took to her Instagram to announce the launch of Blisoo. She greeted fans with the happy news and asked for their continued love for both her and BLACKPINK.
Following in the footsteps of Jennie and Lisa, Jisoo is the third member of BLACKPINK to take the leap and establish her own agency for her solo activities.
On the website, Jisoo shared that Blissoo will be a place to share the happiness that Jisoo hopes to create in her own unique way.
Immediately after the announcement of Blisoo's opening, the company website crashed for several hours due to too much traffic. However, the website is now up-and-running, and Jisoo is earning praise for her self-introduction on the company website.
Her self-introduction reads, "JISOO, who debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016, is a multi-talented artist, shining both as a singer and actress. She is recognized not only for her contributions to the group but also for her successful solo career, earning multiple awards in music and acting. Now established as a icon, JISOO continues to broaden her influence into the realms of fashion, beauty, and beyond."

Jisoo opted not to boast of her achievements on her self-introduction; instead, a separate section was made on her websites to show the awards she received as both a solo act and as a member of BLACKPINK. She made sure to not forget her roots as a BLACKPINK member.
This reaction is extremely different from what Lisa faced after she established her own agency, LLOUD.
BLACKPINK Lisa Draws Criticism for Self-Introduction on LLOUD Website
On February 8, 2024, Lisa announced the establishment of her own entertainment company, LLOUD. That same day, the official website of LLOUD went live online.
While Jisoo garnered praise for her self-introduction on the Blissoo website, Lisa did not receive the same treatment.
At the time, Lisa was criticized for claiming she "transcends the group with her global impact." Many took this as her claiming she was bigger and better than the group, thus degrading BLACKPINK as a whole.
People criticized the idol for catching the "celebrity disease," stating she would be nothing without the achievements of BLACKPINK.
Additionally, Lisa's website claims she holds numerous Guinness World Records. While slightly true, people noted that the majority of her achievements are shared with BLACKPINK.
With that, people hope Lisa and her team adopt a more humble approach to avoid causing another scandal.
