Chris Bosh Block Helps Miami Force Game 7 In NBA Finals [Video & Gifs]

Chris Bosh has been routinely derided for his soft play in the 2013 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs. Last night, his offensive rebound and assist to Ray Allen, plus his game-saving block, were the difference for the Heat.

Bosh's numbers on the night were pedestrian: 10 points on 5-for-12 shooting and he passed up numerous opportunities where he had an open jump shot.

But basketball isn't all about shooting and points.

Bosh also collected 11 rebounds, including three offensive, but none were as important as the one he grabbed with under 10 seconds remaining in regulation and the Heat just seconds away from being eliminated.

With 18 seconds left, after the Spurs missed two big free throws to secure the win and the championship, LeBron James brought the ball up the court and called timeout.

Out of the timeout, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra designed a smart play for LeBron to have a look at tying the game. LeBron shot the ball with 11 seconds left on the clock, in case he missed, and that's exactly what happened.

LeBron missed badly, but because Spurs coach Gregg Popovich had subbed Tim Duncan out so the Spurs could switch all screens on the defensive end, there was no one left to collect the rebound.

Chris Bosh soared above to grab the board between Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard. After collecting the rebound, Bosh quickly found Ray Allen in the short corner.

Allen drained the three-pointer to tie the game with just 5.2 seconds left. The Spurs didn't get a clean look and the game went into overtime.

Unbelievable.

But that wasn't the end of Chris Bosh's exploits last night.

After San Antonio scored to start overtime, Bosh sprinted ahead and received a pass from LeBron as he laid the ball in while getting fouled by Manu Ginobili.

The Spurs didn't relax in OT despite their collapse in the final minute of regulation. They went up three points after Tony Parker sank 1-of-2 free throws with under 3 minutes remaining.

But the Heat battled back to take a 101-100 lead into the final minute.

With under 40 seconds remaining, Bosh was switched onto Tony Parker, a distinct advantage for the Spurs' quick all-star point guard. But Bosh hung tough and just barely blocked Parker's attempt at a jumper to give the ball back to the Heat.

Then, with just 1.9 seconds remaining in overtime, the Spurs had the ball down 3.

The Spurs ran Danny Green off a high screen at the top of the key before Tiago Splitter set up on the other side of Green's man to run a flare screen for 3-point specialist in the far corner for a 3-pointer.

Duncan gave Green a perfect pass to take a short corner 3-pointer, but Bosh read the pass and got the HUGE block on Green to give the Heat the win.

Two Chris Bosh blocks saved the win for the Heat, and Bosh deserved his strut back to the Heat's bench as the final horn sounded.
