Selma Blair Fired From 'Anger Management' In Charlie Sheen Text Calling Her A 'C- -t'

Charlie Sheen finally fired Selma Blair from his FX show, "Anger Management," yesterday. He sent her a text firing her and reportedly called her a "c- -t" during the exchange.

Same old Charlie Sheen it appears.

Selma Blair was fired yesterday after Charlie Sheen sent her a text message informing her of the move.

Sheen also serves as a executive producer on the FX comedy, where he stars as a therapist with anger mangement issues who also goes to a therapist to control them.

That therapist was Selma Blair. But FX has confirmed Blair has been let go after rumors surfaced over the weekend and earlier this week that Charlie Sheen issued an ultimatum to FX unless they fired her.

The abusive and expletive-laden text message Charlie Sheen sent to Selma Blair is how she found out, and it's being reported by Deadline Hollywood, that Sheen called Blair a "c- -t" in the text.

Also, according to Deadline, Blair was the only one who spoke out about the perennially late Sheen, with the cast and crew sometimes waiting hours until he showed up.

But Blair was the only one to speak up about Sheen's poor work habits to FX executives, and that's what precipitated the falling out with Sheen and her eventual dismissal fromt the show.

Her therapist character on the show will not be recast, but there are rumblings that they're looking to hire another female cast member to replace Blair.

We already reported that Sheen is high on Ashton Kutcher's girlfriend, Mila Kunis. Kutcher, it should be noted, replaced Sheen on the CBS hit, "Two and a Half Men."

But the firing still comes as a surprise since it appeared like Selma Blair and Charlie Sheen had a natural chemistry, and Blair has been nothing but effusive in her praise of Sheen.

Blair even tweeted out a compliment of Sheen last week, and it seems like she was in good spirits on Monday when she brought her 23-month old baby to work.

FX has issues a statement, which reads: "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best."

It probably isn't a coincidence that Deadline is hearing the show's producers are looking to fill a role with a female regular on the show.

But Anger Management has had to battle sagging ratings and a creative re-tool already and it's unknown if this recent firing--on so public a stage, and in so harsh a manner--will affect the reboot of the sitcom.

Anger Management is about halfway through their 100 episode contract with FX, and despite the firing of Blair, they intend to stay on production schedule while the writers figure out a way to write her out of the show.

Deadline is also reporting that Blair is being paid per her contract and there is no legal action from Sheen or the show's producers (of which Sheen is one) in play, but that could certainly change.
