RIIZE's influence towards students in schools due to their "scandals" became a topic of discussion in an online thread.

Here's what they're saying.

BRIIZEs & K-Netz Discuss 'Impact' of RIIZE's Buzz Among Students in School

On March 11, Korean netizens gathered in an online community titled, "I realize the severity of RIIZE's scandals."

In the post, OP shared an experience in school, recounting how everyone in the establishment would talk about RIIZE Eunseok and controversial trainee Han Seo Hee.

For additional context, Han Seo Hee has trended across social media for being allegedly involved in a conversation with "The Only," also known as Kim Ye In, who is also an alleged ex-girlfriend of Eunseok.

The posts on platform X (Twitter) showed Kim Ye In's attempt to bridge Han Seo Hee to Eunseok and other male idols. However, Han Seo Hee has denied being involved in the conversation and netizens were left doubting the former trainee's claims. The author shared:

"When I arrive at school, and when I'm on my lunch break, everyone around me and the people in the school hallways would all be talking about Song Eunseok and Han So Hee.

You can see that RIIZE's fans are all losing their minds, and fans of other groups are getting their recharge of dopamine."

In the comments section, netizens expressed how much they missed being a student who can freely talk about celebrity gossip. They also recounted other K-pop dating controversies in the past and how they affected fans inside the school campus. Here's how they reacted:

  • "This makes me want to go to school (again). I'm a university student (now) and there's no class today, so I can't talk about this with anyone. I'm just acting like a hikikomori in my room refreshing Pann all the time."
  • "Everyone will be kicking their blankets but during the Baekhyun dating scandal, there were so many kids leaning over my desk crying and swearing. Now, they swear because of how embarrassing it was."
  • "The recharge of dopamine is real. For those who are not fans, they just think that it's super fun."
  • "It's fine, there were a lot of kids crying during the Baekhyun scandal too, but it's all passed now."

Meanwhile, international fans stated the "drama" RIIZE, and fifth-gen groups have been receiving resembles the ones that transpired during first-gen, second-gen, and third-gen K-pop.

  • "There used to be hella EXO posts trending on Pann from 2013 to 2018. I haven't seen a boy group this talked about after the start of 4th-gen."
  • "For real, I think the 4th generation will be overshadowed by the 5th, especially for boy groups.
  • "5th-generation is giving the drama of the late 2nd generation and early 3rd generation vibes."
  • "This makes K-pop fun again is much better the tea of Korean stans than international fans fighting over charts."
  • "It really does feel like a new generation started when RIIZE debuted. I was not feeling the 5th-gen but it's obvious now with how popular they got that people talk about them constantly."
  • "It's not just the concept they are bringing back but the old era of how 1st generation worked among the public and fandoms with constant gossip."
